Layers

Some days I feel particularly more feminine and romantic than others. These pictures were taken on one of those days. It amazes me how multifaceted, layered, and versatile women are. Considering style alone - one day we can be dolled up and the next in an oversized sweater and baggy jeans, but still just as beautiful and strong in each instance.

Like many women, it's been a journey for me to be comfortable in my own skin. Saturday March 8th is International Women's Day and with that in mind I wanted to share an incredibly inspirational speech given by the lovely Lupita Nyong'o. She shared her thoughts on beauty and I wholeheartedly agree with every word.

For those who are reading this or whomever needs to hear it, please know that YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. While our personal struggles with beauty and acceptance are unique to our circumstances, I ask that we all follow Lupita's thoughtful words..."and get to the deeper business of being beautiful inside."
