Brothers Vellies x Black Panther

Your favorite's favorite is an ethical fashion designer. If you were like me this weekend, you gleefully (or somewhat impatiently) waited for the opening of Black Panther whilst preparing your outfit to celebrate the beauty that is Wakanda. 

All the while, Aurora James, founder of Brother Vellies, was cooking up something special in a branded collaboration with Black Panther. Brothers Vellies was founded in 2013 under the premise of superior craftsmanship, ethical production and job creation for shoe makers in Kenya, Morocco, and South Africa. 

But as you know, sustainability for sustainability's sake - does not cut it in my book. 

Her shoes are also gorgeous. 

The collab

According to the designer's IG post revealing the collection, the "four sculptural pieces examine personal insecurities and themes around being a black woman and also a black female designer." Each shoe explores a question and is a one of kind piece of art.
